Electronic Bill Presentment (EBP) allows you to receive bills electronically (e-bills) and make payments via Internet. EBP provides great convenience because it saves you time and costs associated with paying your bills with checks by mail. In addition, this service eases the burden of paper record-keeping since now invoices as well as payment information is available in one Internet site at your home, office or at any computer with Internet access. Receiving e-bills as well as using Internet Banking is free of charge to Banco Popular personal deposit account and credit card customers.

The process:

  • e-bill options are available on Internet Banking’s Payments menu. Log on and choose one of the options. The system will then present you with the terms and conditions for the service.
  • Once you accept the terms and conditions, you will register the bills you wish to receive via Internet. This process is called adding e-bills.
  • Banco Popular notifies your service provider or biller that you wish to receive your bill electronically through Internet Banking. The biller then starts to send your e-bill to Banco Popular.
  • The e-bills you have added will appear on your e-bills Inbox. The next time one of those accounts cycle, you will receive an e-mail informing that you just received an e-bill and that you can log on to Internet Banking to view and pay your e-bills.
  • In this page, the e-bill name is a link to the e-bill summary.
  • Once in the e-bill summary, you can see your bill in detail (transaction, charges, etc.) by clicking on the View e-bill image Button.
  • You can then pay said e-bill through the Pay Bills section of Internet Banking through an electronic debit from your Banco Popular account or by any other means (with a check, in person, etc).
